Stephen Ministry is one-on-one lay person ministry with the goal being to equip and empower lay care-givers so they can provide high-quality, confidential, Christ-centered care to people who are hurting.

 

People who have experienced a divorce, death of a loved one, have or know someone who has a chronic/terminal sickness, had a child leave for college, or loose a job may need a Stephen Minister. That is not an exhaustive list, but it shows how Stephen Ministers will be equipped to provide care for someone going through a difficult season of life. The Stephen Minister’s job is to listen, pray for, and provide through provoking questions to care receives.
